Our Process for Working Together

Working with us is easy. You just need to take that first step.
We all know that financial planning is important, and the sooner we get started, the better the outcome will probably be. So why do so many people put it off? In my experience, there are a few reasons I hear often from my clients: They either didn’t know who to call, didn’t think they had enough money to justify having a Financial Advisor, or didn’t know how much it would cost. If this sounds like you, don’t worry, you are certainly not in the minority! Let me address some of these common questions and concerns below:
Working Together
How do we get started?
The first step in our Financial Planning process is to learn more about you and your current situation. This is accomplished by an initial, complementary consultation, where we learn more about you, and you about us.
What is it that is front of mind for you? Perhaps you need assistance managing your investments, or are concerned that your savings may not last through retirement. Or maybe you've realized that it is time to think about protecting your family with Life Insurance, but aren't sure where to begin. Have an old 401(k) that you are not sure what do do with? These are all areas that my team and I specialize in, and we are excited to assist you in any way that we can.
The initial consultation is informal, free of charge, 100% confidential, and can be done in the most convenient manner...by phone, virtually through a Zoom meeting, or in person at our office, your office, or even at your home.
Why work with us?
As an Independent Financial Advisor, I do not work for a big insurance company or investment brokerage.
Rather, I work for you, the client, recommending what is in your best interest.
Although my team and I have access to the products and services of essentially every major insurance or investment company, I do not have a "home team". Meaning, when I make a recommendation, it is not because some big firm that I work for is pushing their product, agenda, or instilling a sales quota or minimum production on me. Therefore, you can rest assured that any recommendation that I make is based objectively on your needs, regardless of which investment or insurance company it is with.
Being an independent Financial Advisor allows my team and I to take a holistic approach to your financial planning needs, and recommend the options and strategies that are most appropriate for you, my valued client.
What does it cost?
As none of our services or strategies are "cookie cutter", and no two clients
are the same, the cost will vary from client
to client.
The initial consultation is confidential, and provided free of charge with no obligation. Should we decide to work together and move forward on any solution or recommendation, any fee or charge would be disclosed before doing so.
For example,. with the implementation of a life insurance policy, the Financial Advisor's compensation for this type of service is typically from the Insurance Company, not directly from the client.
Alternatively, if a client seeks to implement Asset Management through our Investment Advisory Services (utilizing diverse asset allocation strategies, customized portfolio design based on investment goals and risk tolerance), then typically a transparent annual management charge would be based on the amount of assets.
